By the time they returned to Linyuan Pavilion, darkness had fallen, and everyone was exhausted.

Lin Yuan led the remaining five Gugas toward his room. It was Golden Mastiff Guga's first time at Linyuan Pavilion. She held her head high and looked everywhere, taking in the corridor pillars, stone railings, and courtyard. The black ghost-face pattern on her hat bobbed with every movement.
"So this is your home? Guga."
Lin Yuan reached out and stroked her head. "From now on, it's your home too."
Golden Mastiff Guga turned her head away.
"It's all right. Just barely good enough for me, Guga."
Lin Yuan pushed open the door. Ten little beds stood against the wall, each half as tall as a person, lined with thick cushions and stuffed with soft pillows. The six Gugas' beds each had their own decorations, but they shared one thing: piles of snack jars beside them.
