Background and Discovery

• Cold Jade Bed: A palm-sized piece formed the core of the Shui Family’s Cold Jade Bed, surrounded by Thousand-Year Cold Jade. The family’s heads, elders, and deacons knew what was inside, but Lin Ye discovered it independently 13 15.
• First consumption: Lin Ye broke open the bed and ate the marrow. After half a day of meditation, his Soul Power rose by two levels to level 56 14.
• Search in the Frozen Forest: Shui Bing’er obtained a map drawn by her great-great-grandfather, marking where he had found marrow. She and Lin Ye followed it north after an initial search at a similar-looking location failed 16 17.
• Cavern deposit: Beneath a shaft more than a hundred meters deep, they found three and a half pieces. An Ice Rock Python had eaten half a piece and, judging by the cavern, two others 17 18.
• Division and use: Lin Ye gave Shui Bing’er one and a half pieces and kept two. Absorbing his share overnight raised him to rank 59; Shui Bing’er later reached rank 49 with the marrow’s help 19.

Appearance

• The piece inside the Cold Jade Bed was irregular and palm-sized; exposing it filled the room with extreme cold and spread ice crystals across the walls 14.
• The cavern pieces were lustrous white and jade-like, with translucent cores containing slowly flowing pale-blue energy 18.

Cultivation Effects

• Ice-type Soul Masters: Lin Ye identifies the marrow as especially beneficial to them. Holding it accelerated his Soul Power circulation, while eating it released intense cold and energy through his body 14 19.
