"Leaf Strong Whirlwind!" After ducking beneath the incoming attack, Kyle spun into a roundhouse kick, the top of his foot smashing hard into the wooden alchemical puppet before him with a crisp crack.
"Fuck, that hurts!" Kyle clutched his foot and sat down on the floor.
That crisp crack had not only been the sound of the alchemical puppet splitting open, but also of Kyle's foot bones.
His Lightning Body Tempering training had still been too short.
Kyle could feel that over the past few days, his physical condition had been improving much faster than before.
Before developing Lightning Body Tempering, he had only done push-ups, sit-ups, squats, and the like every day, since excessive training during such a crucial stage of physical development could affect his height.
So previously, his physical condition had basically been about on par with someone who got full marks on a university fitness test in his previous life.
After half a month of Lightning Body Tempering, Kyle felt that if he entered some amateur boxing matches now, he could probably beat his opponents with ease.
Of course, that was disregarding the protective effect magic had on wizards' bodies.
Thanks to magic, wizards generally had better physical condition than Muggles.
But compared to those overpowered freaks from One Piece, Naruto, and Dragon Ball, it was still nowhere close.
Something as basic as kicking through a tree, which was nothing to those overpowered freaks, was beyond Kyle in his normal state.
Only with the enhancement of Super Strength could he kick an alchemical puppet hard enough to crack it.
Using Super Strength also carried risks. Sometimes, if magic did not protect his body thoroughly enough, the recoil would leave him with hairline fractures or broken bones, just like now.
Alfred, who had been waiting nearby, frowned with some concern. He took out his wand and aimed it at Kyle's injured foot.
Several glowing green motes drifted from the tip of the wand and fell over the fracture. Kyle felt the pain in his foot gradually lessen.
Healing magic really was convenient!
Come to think of it, Hogwarts would be starting again soon.
Training Taijutsu, especially combat techniques, made injuries all too easy.
Once he returned to Hogwarts, Alfred could not possibly follow him around like this whenever he trained Taijutsu, ready to treat his injuries at any time.
Hogwarts did have an infirmary, and Snape's potions had decent restorative effects, but he could not go bothering Madam Pomfrey or Snape every time he got hurt.
He still needed to master healing magic himself.
Kyle lay on the training room floor like a salted fish, looking at the old butler crouched beside him as he treated him. "Alfred, I want to learn this!"
Alfred smiled indulgently. "Young Master, to learn healing magic, you must first understand the structure of every tissue in the human body before you can treat injuries properly."
Kyle sat up. "So we start with human anatomy? Where are we going to find human bodies for dissection?"
At Kyle's words, Alfred's face twitched almost imperceptibly.
Whether in the Magical World or the non-magical world, becoming a doctor dedicated to saving lives was no simple matter.
Like Muggle medicine, healing magic was an extremely complex branch of magic.
Those who wished to become Healers needed to earn at least an "E," or "Exceeds Expectations," in subjects such as Potions, Transfiguration, Herbology, Charms, and Dark Arts Defence in their N.E.W.T.s.
Even with those grades, they could only become interns at St. Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries.
To become a fully qualified Healer, they would still need to undergo long years of study during their internship.
Alfred had told Kyle all this in the hope that he would abandon the idea of learning healing magic, because even the simplest healing spells were not something Kyle could easily master at his current age.
Yet from what Kyle had said, it sounded as though he wanted Alfred to procure several corpses for him to dissect...
Alfred knew that young Master Kyle differed from ordinary young wizards in many ways, but hearing him talk so casually about obtaining corpses for dissection was startling even to Alfred, who had witnessed plenty of killing at Grindelwald's side.
Alfred shook his head. "Young Master, we do not need to study Muggle anatomy."
"Then where do we start?" Kyle asked.
Although Alfred did not want to see the young master, whose talent for combat magic was every bit as exceptional as his father's, waste his time and energy on healing magic—
Kyle seemed genuinely interested in it, so Alfred could only go along with his wishes.
"If young Master Kyle truly wishes to learn, then please wait here a moment."
The old butler turned and left the magical training room.
Watching the old man disappear through the doorway, Kyle stroked his chin and wondered whether Alfred was about to bring him a half-dead fish and have him try to heal it.
Come to think of it, magic and ninjutsu did share certain similarities.
Kyle had originally believed the power within his body was Chakra, so before Dumbledore found him, he had been developing his magic in the direction of ninjutsu.
Unexpectedly, ninjutsu could really be used in the magical world, though much of it was only superficial imitation.
Moreover, even when the effects looked the same, magic had side effects that ninjutsu did not, such as with Chidori.
But that also proved there truly were commonalities between the two.
Then could the Mystical Palm Technique from the world of Naruto—using Yang Release Chakra to stimulate bodily cells and promote division and regeneration—achieve the same effect with magic?
Thinking of this, Kyle ran out of the magical training room as well.
A short while later, Kyle and Alfred sat facing each other, staring wide-eyed across a half-dead trout lying in a basin.
Several opened magic books lay scattered across a nearby table. Kyle had casually flipped through the books Alfred had brought, then tossed them aside once he found that he could not understand them.
As expected, practice was the best teacher.
"Young Master, what are you planning to..." Alfred broke the silence.
Kyle took a Kunai from his pocket and cut the trout. "Alfred, can I watch healing magic again? Slow down the casting process if possible."
"Of course." The old butler took out his wand and began casting the spell as Kyle requested.
Under the glowing green light brimming with vitality, Kyle, who was staring intently at the wound, clearly saw the muscles on both sides of the cut slowly wriggle and fuse together.
As the treatment continued, the joined muscles quickly healed, followed by the outer layer of fish skin...
In the end, only a shallow scratch remained on the fish's body, and it too quickly vanished under Alfred's treatment.
The trout, which had been on the verge of death moments ago, immediately began flopping about energetically.
Kyle scratched his head.
Damn it!
Other than seeing the entire healing process, he had learned nothing!
Ignoring everything else, Kyle grabbed the Kunai and cut the poor fish again. With the healing principles of the Mystical Palm Technique in mind, he began his first attempt.
Ten seconds later, the cut on the trout had not healed but deepened. Its gills, which had been opening and closing moments ago, had stopped moving.
Kyle shook his head expressionlessly. "No saving it. Send it to the kitchen."
