Faced with Nami's fanciful idea, Amazon lowered her eyelids and said in the same flat tone, "Of course you can enter that way too."
At that, Usopp grew just as excited as Nami. In a voice that was quiet but still loud enough for Amazon to hear, he said, "You heard her! We can get in without paying. Let's go!"
That was Usopp for you. He loved a bargain.
Amazon said, "Suit yourselves. I'm not a guard, after all. I'm just following procedure. Besides, if I tried to stop you, you'd probably kill me. So, are all of you going?"
"Of course!" Luffy said.
Amazon said nothing more and nodded. Then a huge creature surfaced beneath the Going Merry and clamped its two pincers around the ship's sides.
"What kind of monster is that?" Usopp cried in terror.
Only after hearing Usopp did Chopper cry out in terror too. "There's a monster!"
Amazon explained, "That's an Express Shrimp from the White Sea. It'll take you to the White-White Sea."
Once the Express Shrimp carried the Going Merry through Heaven's Gate and sped away, Amazon quietly recounted what had happened to herself, a sinister smile on her face.
Carried by the Express Shrimp, the Going Merry raced upward along a winding passage. Before long, it pierced the thick clouds and entered the White-White Sea.
"Woohoo!"
After breaking through the clouds, the Express Shrimp released its pincers, and the Going Merry shot forward on its own momentum. In the bright sunlight, everyone finally got a clear look at the scenery ahead.
The island's lower reaches were covered in dense forest, while its interior was filled with clouds. Buildings stood atop those clouds, layer upon layer.
Farther away, they could even see bridges of thick vines connecting places higher and more distant.
