Outside Pangaea Castle stood a small town.
It was where the Celestial Dragons lived, and there was still a long road to travel before reaching it.
A soldier said, "Everyone, please step onto this. The road moves on its own. It's very advanced."
Rubick snorted. "I'm not stepping on that. Who knows what the slaves underneath are calling us in their heads?"
Conis startled. "Rubick, do you mean there are people underneath pushing us along?"
Rubick did not elaborate. It would be rude to lay someone's suffering bare in front of him, and with the masters absent, Rubick had no reason to give a lowly soldier trouble.
Rubick led the way beside the moving road, and the others followed. The soldier wiped sweat from his brow. This was the first time anyone had openly called attention to it.
When they reached the outskirts of the Holy City, one thing struck Rubick: it was clean, spotless inside and out. People cleaning the streets were everywhere. Thankfully, there were no Celestial Dragons in sight to turn his stomach.
Beyond the town lay the Celestial Dragon Gate. Only after passing through it would they reach Pangaea Castle.
Since the meeting had not begun, the reception staff led Rubick and the others to the Social Plaza, where many people had already gathered.
Rubick had no plans to establish relations with other kingdoms just yet. Instead, he told Vivi and the others, "I intend to form an alliance of kingdoms working together. I hope you'll stand with me."
