"Is it ready yet?"
On an island hidden amid thick clouds, Shiki gazed at the Super Battleship before him, excitement flashing in his eyes.
"Almost. We're preparing to charge it, but that will take quite a while."
Reinhardt spoke calmly beside him.
"Roughly how long?"
"Two months. It should finish charging around February next year."
Two months. Shiki nodded to himself, his excitement beyond words.
Yet now that the moment had truly arrived, he felt calmer than ever.
He had lost count of how long he had waited for this moment.
If the ancient weapon Pluton had been in the Kronos Kingdom, they might have fully understood it in just a few months.
But for the Flying Pirates, whose research capabilities were weak, studying Pluton took years, even after they had gathered a large number of scientists.
He had learned of Pluton during the Second Bloody War, and six or seven years had passed since he obtained it.
"How many shots can it fire on a full charge?"
"Nine, but we need to conduct firing tests. Those may consume enough energy to cost us one or two shots."
"That's enough."
Shiki did not ask for much. This was an ancient weapon; even a few shots would satisfy him.
Besides, he knew that once war broke out, Pluton might only get one chance to fire.
Once Pluton fired, its existence would inevitably be exposed.
For the World Government's powerful fighters, destroying Pluton, disrupting its firing, or damaging its power source would not be difficult.
"We can begin preparing for war."
"But don't let the news get out yet."
"This war will require some planning. I want to speak with a few old friends."
"As for when we go to war, make it March."
Shiki spoke slowly.
March was a legendary month.
