At his side were three of the Beasts Pirates' strongest fighters: King the Wildfire, Hebide the Earth Disaster, and Queen the Plague.
And that was not the full strength of the Beasts Pirates. Crute the Pighead Emperor and Jialuosige the Calamity had not come.
Typhon's return had left Kaido rather uneasy.
Typhon was perfectly capable of taking Crute back.
But he had not done so.
Monster Paradise had already been rebuilt as the new Monster Kingdom. Though he had not built it himself, it existed now, and he had no need to build another.
After so many years imprisoned, he had lost the desire to do that anyway.
Leaving Crute with the Beasts Pirates had its advantages. It gave Typhon leverage over them.
That way, the Beasts Pirates could not become enemies of the Big Mom Pirates.
If necessary, they could even act alongside the Big Mom Pirates.
After all, Linlin had given Kaido his Devil Fruit during the God Valley War.
Without that top-tier Mythical Zoan Devil Fruit from Linlin, Kaido would have struggled to achieve what he had today.
What was more, Kaido had reached his limit in that battle. Without the immense vitality and power granted by the Fish-Fish Fruit, Model: Azure Dragon, he might have died on the battlefield at God Valley.
He would never have earned his fearsome reputation.
He owed Linlin for that.
