Fleet Admiral Kong sat on one side of the round table, quietly drinking hot tea.
Admiral Sengoku stood by the window with his hands behind his back.
Hearing the approaching footsteps, Sengoku turned around.
He wore frog-shaped glasses and a Marine cap bearing a seagull emblem. His long beard was braided beneath his chin, and the graying hair at his temples had been dyed black.
His expression was stern, but it softened slightly when he saw Mobius.
Kong had gradually withdrawn from the public eye, but he was still the Fleet Admiral. As the Navy's highest-ranking officer, he could hardly be absent when Mobius came to visit.
"Please, have a seat. Sorry for the trouble of coming all this way, Your Highness Mobius."
Sengoku walked to the head of the table, pulled out a chair, and sat down, clasping his hands before his chest.
Mobius made himself at home. Three cups of tea had already been prepared and were still steaming; they must have been freshly brewed.
He took a seat in the middle.
Psykos and Loki sat on either side of him.
"You don't need to call me Your Highness when we're outside, Admiral Sengoku."
Mobius took a sip of tea and savored it. Tea Sengoku served to guests was bound to be good.
Mobius did not particularly enjoy tea, but he could
