Eiji vs. Nawaki

"I don't mind. If possible, I'd rather demonstrate it in a sparring match. My abilities are a little complicated, and explaining them might not make much sense."

Eiji had no objection to Tsunade's suggestion. Once abilities like his were revealed, there was little chance of hiding them from experienced people anyway.

"Great! Then let me see what you can do!"

Nawaki could no longer sit still. He was curious about Eiji's inherited Dojutsu, too. If he could beat Eiji before Eiji got the hang of it, he could brag for years that he had defeated Ryuuzaki Eiji.

They went to the large courtyard behind the Senju Ancestral Home, and Eiji was stunned all over again.

They really are loaded. What he had seen from the front was only the tip of the iceberg. This was where the real estate was.

The Shinobi World was not that big to begin with. Yet they had a backyard this vast in Konoha, complete with upscale furnishings, a pond full of koi, and pebble-paved paths.

There was also a large training ground off to one side, with several straw dummies and targets set up on it.

Quite a few Shuriken were embedded in them. This was probably where Nawaki trained. Eiji resolved to get himself a yard about this size someday.

The two took their places on the training ground. Outside it, Kushina cheered for Eiji, making the corners of Nawaki's mouth twitch. It had only been a few days, and she was already taking Eiji's side?

"All right. You first, or me?"

"You go first. I need someone to attack me to demonstrate my ability."

Eiji had no intention of showing Azure at full power. He did not want to destroy their courtyard on his first visit.

"Okay, then I won't hold back!"

Tsunade watched Eiji from outside the training ground. He looked rather confident.

That was understandable. Defeating a Root Ninja was something to be proud of.

The question was how he had beaten his opponent. Tsunade had not seen it clearly, and now she wanted to understand what Kushina meant when she said he could control objects.

Then Tsunade saw Nawaki charge at Eiji, fists swinging, only for his punch to stop a few centimeters short of him. No matter how he pushed, it would go no farther.

"Huh? What is this?!"

Nawaki's jaw dropped. Seriously? I've barely started, and you're already using your weird Kekkei Genkai? That's not fair!

Tsunade's eyes widened. She could not make sense of it at all.

There was no flow of Chakra, which meant he had not used Ninjutsu. So how could she explain what she had just seen?

Tsunade looked at Eiji's eyes. Nothing about them had changed; they were still that vivid blue.

"Wow, that's amazing! It's just like the other day!"

Kushina cheered.

Before Tsunade could ask anything, Eiji showed them more: floating in the air, teleporting, moving objects from a distance, and even pulling Nawaki toward him from afar. Tsunade could only stare, dumbfounded.

"Whoa, wait! I give up, I give up!" Unable to take any more, Nawaki surrendered.

Once Eiji lowered him from the air, Nawaki dropped onto his backside and complained loudly, "What kind of weird Ninjutsu is that? I can't even touch you, but you can hit me?!"

"Wait, Eiji. Don't use that ability anymore!"

Tsunade hurried over to stop him. "I think I understand the basics. You have three abilities. The first keeps outside things from touching you. Even Ninjutsu can't reach you, but you can still touch other people and their Ninjutsu, right?

"Your flight and Gravity techniques are impressive, too. If you haven't learned the Light-Weight Rock Technique, then all of these powers must come from your eyes! Your Kekkei Genkai is clearly powerful, almost unbeatable. But you can't keep using it for very long, can you?

"That means its duration is your secret. Never tell anyone!

"No, don't even show people these techniques without good reason. You'll give away information about yourself!"

"I understand. I won't tell anyone else. But asking me not to use them is going to be hard. They're really convenient."

Come on. Why would I walk when I can fly? Azure barely cost him any stamina, either. He could keep it going almost indefinitely.

Eiji would not have minded telling people how long he could maintain Limitless. He could keep it up for two or three days, after all. But since Tsunade had told him not to say anything, he kept quiet.

And once he mastered Reverse Cursed Technique, that time limit would effectively disappear.

Tsunade could already picture Eiji on a battlefield, eating Three-Color Dango with one hand while swinging a Ninja Blade at his enemies with the other.

Hold on. What if his inherited Dojutsu can be passed down like the Sharingan or Byakugan...

Eiji isn't even married yet, is he?

Tsunade did not dare follow that thought any further. Judging by the strength he had shown, Eiji was already more than qualified to be a Jonin.

When that technique was active, nothing could touch him. If he also had ways to counter poison gas and Genjutsu, there might truly be no way to stop him.

The Shinobi World had been unsettled lately. Another Shinobi World War might break out, and Tsunade would have to fight on the front lines. She was uneasy about leaving Kushina alone in the village.

Now that Ryuuzaki Eiji was there to protect her, Tsunade could rest a little easier.

Besides, the kid had looked remarkably confident. Tsunade had been the one to stop him from revealing more of his abilities, so she had not pressed him with questions.

In truth, she had a feeling his eyes could do more than he had shown. Her understanding of them barely scratched the surface. She suspected the reality was quite different—and that he might be able to maintain that technique for a terrifyingly long time. If so, his power was frightening.

Then Tsunade thought about Ryuuzaki Eiji's Kekkei Genkai. If the old man learned what those eyes could do, knowing him, wouldn't he find Eiji a whole crowd of female Ninja and urge him to have children?

A Kekkei Genkai like this was vanishingly rare. If it was guaranteed to be inherited, Konoha could have a group of extraordinarily powerful clan Ninja within thirty years.

But what would happen to Kushina then? Was she supposed to give Eiji up for the good of the village? That would be too cruel.

And yet, when Tsunade thought of Eiji's power, even she felt tempted.

If she held the Hokage Position, could she let a power like that die out? She honestly could not say.

Then... would it work out if Kushina had a few more children?

"What do you plan to call your eyes?"

They were Ryuuzaki Eiji's eyes, after all. Tsunade would leave the naming to him.

"I think I'll call them the Six Eyes."

"The Six Eyes? Why that name?" Tsunade asked, puzzled.

"Because I like it. It also fits the Kekkei Genkai technique I'm planning to develop next."

The "Six Eyes" referred to the six stages of perception in Buddhism. The technique Eiji planned to develop was Unlimited Void, a name likewise drawn from Buddhism. Satoru Gojo's abilities had deep ties to Buddhist thought.

"I see. All right, then."

Tsunade did not ask more. Ninja Families with inherited Dojutsu each had techniques unique to them.

The Uchiha's Genjutsu and the Hyuga Clan's Gentle Fist both relied on their eyes to be used to their full potential. It was only natural that Eiji, with eyes just as powerful, would want to develop a technique of his own.
