Only after Zhou Sining repeatedly assured Mu Nujiao that he was fine did her anger finally ease. She let the matter drop.
After all that, though, Mu Nujiao was no longer in the mood to shop.
The two of them said goodbye to Jiang Shaoxu and the others, then headed back to the hotel early to wash up.
"Get in bed. Sleep." Mu Nujiao gestured toward the bed.
"I'm not really sleepy. I just don't have much energy," Zhou Sining said with a smile.
When Mu Nujiao's expression turned cold, he obediently lay down, closed his eyes, and pretended to sleep.
"You'd better behave," Mu Nujiao warned.
"I can't sleep with the lights on," Zhou Sining said, his eyes still closed.
A moment later, every light in the room went out. The mattress dipped beside him. Her cool fragrance reached him first, then her soft body curled against his.
Zhou Sining's lips curved. He turned, wrapped his arms around Mu Nujiao, and took a deep breath of her intoxicating scent.
Zhou Sining checked the time. It was only ten thirty.
For an Advanced Mage whose Spiritual Power far exceeded an ordinary person's, that was very, very early to go to sleep.
Besides, Mu Nujiao had only spent half the day traveling and had barely cultivated. Her Spiritual Power was still at full strength.
"Can you sleep this early?"
"I'll cultivate. You sleep."
Mages did not generally need to sit cross-legged to meditate. As long as they could concentrate and settle their minds, any posture would do.
With a high-level cultivation Magic Artifact, they could even bathe in the gentle flow of Magic Energy around the clock, letting their Star Dust and Nebula grow on their own.
"All right. I'm going to sleep, then."
Zhou Sining really was a little tired.
