The lights in the Uchiha Clan Compound's reception room burned nearly all night.

Six groups came in all. After the first three families, the heads of three more small and midsize ninja clans arrived in the second half of the night.

Some had sent word during the day. Others had decided to come on the spur of the moment.

Whoever came, Uchiha En met them personally. He made promises to the hesitant, showed his strength to those testing him, and spoke plainly with those who came straight to the point.

By the time the last guests left, it was deep into the night.

Elder Yashiro closed the door and returned to the reception room, his fingers trembling with excitement. "Clan Head! Tonight alone, we recruited six Jonin, fifteen Chunin, and five Genin! Add the Inuzuka Clan's people, and the Konoha Military Police Force's Jonin ranks have filled out all at once!"

Uchiha En set down his teacup, his expression calm.

For the Uchiha, who had just endured the pain of their clan's destruction, those numbers already represented a force that could not be ignored.

And this was only the first wave. Once the Konoha Military Police Force was officially running, more people would join.

Elder Yashiro paced the room, murmuring, "Heaven favors the Uchiha."

Uchiha En watched until the elder had calmed down, then spoke slowly. "Elder Yashiro, we can't let the people who joined tonight gather in one place. Spread them across the east, south, west, north, and central districts according to their strengths and specialties. Don't put everyone from the same family in one district."

Yashiro nodded thoughtfully.

Uchiha En continued, "The captain of each district must be an Uchiha. Deputy captains can be promoted from outside the clan. Give those who perform well and have the ability
