"He actually blocked it?"
Kong Yan paused, and some of the disdain faded from his face. He studied Qin Hao with interest. "That punch used Fifth Tier Earth Doppelganger Laws together with my Earth Doppelganger Body Refinement Art. It had enough power to kill a Venerable at the Fourth-Level Venerable Martial Realm."
"You've mastered Fourth-Tier Destruction Laws, but even if you could block it, you should have had to expend some effort. I didn't expect you to stop it so easily."
Interest showed plainly on Kong Yan's face, as though Qin Hao had only now earned a little of his attention.
"I'm afraid that isn't the only thing that will surprise you." Qin Hao shook his head slightly, his tone calm.
"Interesting. You really have caught my interest now." Kong Yan laughed. No longer in a hurry to leave, he turned and studied Qin Hao in earnest.
"Fourth-Tier Destruction Laws and Third-Order Perfection Vitality Laws. Is that the extent of your strength?"
Kong Yan nodded slightly. "Judging by that sword strike, though, you're not bad at using Origin Laws. I imagine you've created a Secret Technique of your own. Unfortunately, you were unlucky enough to run into me."
After a moment's thought, Kong Yan continued, "How about this? Since they call you the Setting Sun Sword Swordsman, I'll let you lose with some dignity. Otherwise, people might say I bullied someone from the True Martial Continent."
Qin Hao raised an eyebrow. Kong Yan really did talk too much, and he was far too arrogant. On second thought, though, Qin Hao could understand why.
After all, the highest level of Origin Laws he had mastered was only the Fourth Tier, a full tier below the Fifth. That was an enormous gap.
