In the vast, boundless Starry Sky.
An immense Palace stood amid the stars.
Before the Palace lay a vast Plaza, and on it stood a Formation much like the Dao Alliance's main teleportation array.
Suddenly—
Buzz, buzz, buzz.
The Teleportation Array on the Plaza lit up. Its glow grew brighter and brighter, until it became dazzling.
Several figures on the Plaza turned toward it at once.
One of them flashed forward, arriving directly before the Teleportation Array.
Whoosh.
The light within the Formation began to fade. In its place stood a tall young man with a calm, faintly handsome face.
It was Qin Hao.
"Are you Inspector Qin?" The man before the Teleportation Array narrowed his eyes to slits and looked Qin Hao up and down as he asked.
"I am."
Qin Hao studied him in turn.
The man was short, dressed in a dark robe, and looked middle-aged. His eyes remained narrowed. Though his words were exceedingly polite, Qin Hao keenly sensed a chill about him.
As for his cultivation... he was a One-Tribulation Sovereign!
Several others stood on the Plaza, all One-Tribulation Sovereigns as well.
They, too, were studying Qin Hao.
But none showed the slightest intention of coming over to speak with him.
"So you are Inspector Qin." The middle-aged man in black smiled, his eyes still narrowed. "We've received word from the Dao Alliance that Inspector Qin would be coming to investigate the Mysterious Feather Clan's rebellion in the Mysterious Feather Great World."
"Mm."
Qin Hao nodded.
"The Mysterious Feather Great World is over there." The middle-aged man extended his right hand and pointed.
Qin Hao followed his gesture. In the vast, ink-black Starry Sky, he saw a point of light.
That light marked a Great World.
"Thank you." Qin Hao glanced at the middle-aged man
