The Undying Lord looked horrified, but as a Nirvana Nine Tribulations Lord, he reacted swiftly and regained his composure in an instant.

"Vortex, appear!"
The Undying Lord shouted. A swirling vortex immediately appeared before his two souls.
The vortex spun without pause, energy coursing through it as it fought the Supreme Sword Tower's pull.
The Undying Lord's power was undeniable. Even with less than a ten-thousandth of his strength at its peak, his Way of Devouring generated enough force to resist the Supreme Sword Tower.
Sure enough, once the vortex formed, his souls slowed as they were drawn toward the tower. Then they began pulling back, away from it.
"He actually stopped it!"
Qin Hao's face darkened. The Supreme Sword Tower was his last resort. If even it could not pull in and suppress the Undying Lord, Qin Hao had no way left to deal with him.
"Prepare for the worst, Qin Hao," Lingxiaozi said gravely. "If there's no other choice, you could bring Mu Ziqing and the others into the Supreme Sword Tower. But that would expose it. And with the Undying Lord here... you might not be able to bring them in at all."
Bringing them into the Supreme Sword Tower was an option, but it was the worst possible outcome.
Whether he could bring Mu Ziqing and the others in was another question.
Suppressing someone and taking them inside were two different things.
Suppression meant dragging someone in by force. Taking them inside meant he could release them later, but it required their cooperation.
And right now... Mu Ziqing and the other two could not even move. Cooperating with Qin Hao would be difficult.
