Three Years Are Up-Welcome Back, Dragon King

Time flew, and the years slipped by.

Over nearly three years, Naruto and Jiraiya had traveled across most of the Shinobi World.

Except, of course, for the Five Great Shinobi Villages and one other place: Amegakure.

Jiraiya knew Amegakure seemed to be Akatsuki's headquarters, so he planned to sneak in and investigate it himself later.

That was how he had died in the original story. Who knew what would happen this time...

What frustrated Naruto was that he still hadn't found a trace of Kisame or Uchiha Itachi. He hadn't even learned anything about the other Akatsuki members.

It wasn't until the Female Avatar went to Amegakure herself and sensed several members there that he finally learned the truth:

Apart from Kakuzu, who was roaming around killing people to collect bounties, and Sasori of the Red Sands, who was busy with his research, the rest were holed up in Amegakure, doing who knew what.

Then there was the Female Avatar. For more than two years, she had been out there evading Obito, Zetsu, and Deidara.

She had no idea where Deidara had heard about her, but he insisted on sparring with a Ninja who, like him, possessed Explosion Release Kekkei Genkai.

Naruto felt he could beat Kisame one-on-one now. But if other Akatsuki members were there, he would have no choice but to flee.

He had to keep waiting for his chance. Only when Itachi and Kisame came out on a mission could he take Samehada from Kisame.

Over those nearly three years, Naruto had earned points by killing people and exchanged them for the bodies of the God of Fire, God of Thunder, God of Earth, and God of Water!
