But for the moment, Kakashi could not pinpoint the source of that strange feeling.
Unease made him restless. In the end, he decided it was safer to tell Minato at the Hokage Office. At the very least, they needed to be more alert.
After all, everyone in the village was relaxed tonight, and hardly anyone was paying attention to security.
Even if there was no enemy attack to worry about, someone might still try to steal Konoha's Ninjutsu Scroll or something like it.
With his mind made up, Kakashi headed straight for the Hokage Office.
But before he went in, he sensed that something was very wrong.
There seemed to be more than one person's Chakra flowing inside the Hokage Office, yet it was eerily silent.
And that unsettling feeling had grown even stronger.
Kakashi went on full alert and pushed the door open as though nothing was wrong.
Minato had sensed Kakashi approaching. He watched the Masked Man eyeing the door and grew tense.
His hands were already poised to form a sign. If the Masked Man made a sudden move, Minato would act too. Whatever happened, he could not let anyone in the village get hurt.
To his surprise, the Masked Man simply watched Kakashi come through the door without making a move.
The instant Kakashi entered, he saw Obito Uchiha standing there. A strangely familiar feeling washed over him.
And it only grew stronger.
Even so, Kakashi reacted at once. His eyes locked on Obito Uchiha as Lightning Nature Chakra gathered around his hand, and a faint birdsong began to rise.
Kakashi's brows drew tight. "Who are you?"
Obito Uchiha watched Kakashi's movements. His eyes dimmed for an instant, then turned cold.
"Who I am is none of your business!"
He paused, then turned to Minato Namikaze.
