Samui's voice was full of disappointment and reproach. That tone was what finally angered Uchiha Yin.
"Woman, you were the ones who broke your word first. I merely taught you a lesson. If your people from Kumogakure had won, you should ask yourself whether they would have shown this much restraint!"
The teasing smile had vanished from Uchiha Yin's face. Only anger and coldness remained. After a brief pause, he added,
"If I'd truly wanted them dead, they wouldn't be breathing right now. And you wouldn't be alive to talk to me like that!"
Samui was speechless. Uchiha Yin was right. If Kumogakure had won today, there was no telling whether its people would have spared anyone. Worry had clouded her judgment, and she had spoken rashly.
She lowered her head, her face full of regret. "I'm sorry!"
