Uchiha Yin could not help laughing at Uzuki Yugao. "You're bold!"
Uzuki Yugao heard the teasing in his voice and grinned. "Yin, I missed you, so I came to see you. But just as I reached the door, I heard that woman talking like that. I couldn't let it go!"
Uchiha Yin held out a hand to Uzuki Yugao, beckoning her over.
He understood her reaction. She had always been fiercely protective of him. Of course she would be upset to hear someone reject a person she cherished.
At the sight of his gentle smile, her earlier irritation vanished. She took his hand, turned, and settled against his chest, breathing in his familiar scent.
Whenever she was with Uchiha Yin, Uzuki Yugao felt safe. She treasured that feeling and could not help losing herself in it.
Uchiha Yin slipped an arm around her shoulders and gazed fondly at her as she lay against him.
"No missions today?" he asked, gently pinching her cheek. It was smooth and soft beneath his fingers.
Uzuki Yugao made no move to stop him. "No. You were so busy with the peace talks that you didn't have time to see me, so I came over while I had the chance!"
Her frankness pleased him. He tightened his hold slightly and pulled her down against him until her whole body slid into his embrace.
Their position made Uzuki Yugao blush. Her heart began to pound. She swallowed, already looking forward to what might happen next.
