In truth, the instant Samui heard the news, she felt as though she had glimpsed Kumogakure's destruction. For a moment, her breath seemed to catch.
She hurriedly shouted in her mind, "Would this work? Becoming the Hokage's secretary would count as completing the mission, right?"
Samui shouted anxiously for a long time before she finally heard the system's response: "No. The mission requires you to become Uchiha Yin's secretary, not the Hokage's!"
For that instant, Samui even forgot that Uchiha Yin and Kurotsuchi were still sitting before her. Her hand stopped midway through eating.
Seeing Samui like this, Uchiha Yin found it somewhat strange. He narrowed his eyes slightly and called her name.
But Samui still did not respond at all. Only then did Uchiha Yin realize something was very wrong, and he called her twice more.
Samui finally seemed to snap out of a dream. "Ah? What is it?"
Seeing the troubled expression on Samui's face, Uchiha Yin made an effort to soften his voice. "That's what I should be asking you. What's wrong? Didn't you want to be a secretary?"
At his words, Samui hurriedly tried to deny it, but she could not find the right words. Then, as though something had suddenly occurred to her, she blurted out, "I don't want to be a secretary. I only want to be your secretary!"
Only after the words left her mouth did Samui realize how easily they could be misunderstood. She hurriedly looked at Uchiha Yin's and Kurotsuchi's expressions.
Uchiha Yin looked somewhat embarrassed, while the friendly expression on Kurotsuchi's face vanished entirely, replaced by the look of someone facing a formidable enemy.
Samui did not know whether to laugh or cry. "That's not what I meant. I meant that I'm very grateful you gave me a chance to
