What's with me these past two days? Why do kids keep stopping me in my tracks? Uchiha Yin wondered.
The child before him had long pink hair, a broad forehead, green eyes, and a small, charming mouth. She looked adorable in her red clothes.
Yin had been walking along when she suddenly ran up and blocked his path. Then she said nothing, merely staring at him as if she had gone into a daze.
He had meant to wait for her to speak first, but even after a while, she showed no sign of snapping out of it.
Yin began to worry that her neck would hurt from looking up at him for so long.
With a faint sigh, he crouched down and met her clear eyes. "Is something the matter?"
She smiled at him, but inside, her thoughts were racing. I was too far away to see him clearly at the Hokage succession ceremony. I had no idea the new Lord Hokage was so handsome! And now he's talking to me!
"Nothing," she said sweetly. "It's just my first time seeing you, Lord Hokage, so I was curious!"
Yin took her at her word and grinned. "Well, you've looked long enough now. Got a good look?"
Her innocent smile never wavered, though she was growing anxious inside. I got a good look, but nowhere near enough!
Of course, she would never say that aloud. "Mm-hmm. I can see that Lord Hokage really is tall and handsome!"
Yin had no resistance to a sweet-talking child. He reached out and ruffled her hair. "You're already this good with words at your age? You've got a bright future!"
She certainly didn't mind being touched by someone so handsome. Instead, she gave him a smile as innocent as a little rabbit's.
