After leaving the woods, Uchiha Itachi headed straight for Uchiha Yin's home. By now, those matters should have come to an end, and Lord Yin certainly wouldn't be going back to the Hokage Office.
Itachi's guess was remarkably accurate. Yin, who had woken early, had decisively abandoned his plans to visit the Hokage Office. He sincerely felt the place didn't suit him and was glad he had chosen Minato Namikaze to act in his stead.
Though he was relieved, Yin remained deeply concerned about Itachi's report that he might have seen Obito Uchiha.
With Madara Uchiha gone, Obito was the only truly dangerous person left in the Shinobi World. It wasn't that his strength was exceptional. He was more like a virus, spreading dangerous ideas everywhere. Before anyone knew it, his influence could grow immense.
Lately, the intelligence Orochimaru had sent back had been of little use. Perhaps Obito was guarding against him. For all this time, Orochimaru had done little besides carry out missions, learning very little about anything else.
As frustrating as that was, Orochimaru couldn't take further action without risking exposure. Obito didn't trust him much, but he hadn't discovered anything more, either. For now, he remained suspicious but undecided.
They had gained nothing useful, but that made giving up all the more impossible. If they quit now, all their earlier efforts would go to waste.
So Orochimaru kept at it, even though every mission was an ordeal for him. Fortunately, none of the Akatsuki members were easy to deal with, and irregularities in how they handled things were common. That made some of Orochimaru's actions easier to explain away.
After thinking it over, Yin rose to visit the ANBU. Most of his intelligence came from them, after all.
Just then, he sensed familiar Chakra approaching. He
