At that thought, Uchiha Yin showed a rare flicker of concern. "What's wrong? Are you sick?"
He could hardly be blamed for thinking that. Samui's face was bright red, and she kept panting heavily. With her head lowered and barely a word from her, she looked terribly uncomfortable.
Samui did not answer him. She merely kept her head down, trying to steady her breathing. She never lifted her face, leaving Uchiha Yin unable to see her expression. His concern grew more urgent until he could barely stand it, and he reached out to lift her chin.
Before his hand could touch her, however, Samui raised her head herself. The sudden movement nearly sent her straight into his hand. Fortunately, he pulled back in time, or he would have struck her head.
Startled, Uchiha Yin stared blankly at Samui, waiting to see what she wanted to say. Her face was full of resolve, as though she had made a decision that would shape the rest of her life, and her eyes shone.
Uchiha Yin seemed to sense something. Her expression made him a little nervous too, and he nearly turned tail and fled.
Fortunately, Uchiha Yin had weathered his share of storms. He maintained a perfectly composed air as he waited for Samui to speak, looking thoroughly intrigued.
Samui was already nervous, and his expression only made her more so. She swallowed involuntarily. The two stood in the entryway, staring at each other as though each were trying to sound the other out.
At last, Samui made up her mind. With determination written across her face, she said, "Yin, I like you!" Then she rose onto her toes and lunged toward his face. Wanting to tease her a little, Uchiha Yin caught her shoulders, leaving her unable to move any closer.
