Haku was afraid the man had misunderstood Zabuza, so he hurried to explain, "Mr. Zabuza didn't make me come here. I wanted to! I may not look like much, but I'm strong too!"
He looked at the man with such earnestness that it was clear he feared he wouldn't be believed. The man laughed and nodded. "Zabuza, you've found yourself a treasure!"
Zabuza smiled. He looked happier to hear someone from the village acknowledge Haku than he would have been to receive praise himself.
Meanwhile, in the Mizukage's Office, Mei Terumi clung to Uchiha Yin like an octopus. Pouting, she asked, "Yin, are you going back already?"
Uchiha Yin supported her by the hips so she wouldn't tire herself out hanging on to him. "I still have a lot to take care of. I can't stay here with you forever!"
Mei understood that. She knew he had to leave, but she refused to let the matter drop. "Won't you miss me?"
Yin gave her bottom a firm squeeze. "You know the answer to that!" Only then did Mei brighten up. She let go of him and said with a grin, "Then go on. Just remember to visit me often!"
For all her easygoing words, a trace of reluctance and disappointment remained in her eyes. Yin felt a pang of sympathy, but he couldn't put things off any longer. However much he hated leaving her, he had to go.
He pulled Mei close and kissed her hard on the lips. "Be good." Then he used Space-Time Ninjutsu and vanished on the spot.
Eyes closed, Mei reached out to touch Yin's face once more, but her hand met empty air. She opened her eyes to the vacant room and sighed softly. Then she returned to her desk, composed herself, and resumed her
