The person turned, saw Uchiha Yin walk in, gave a proper bow, then left. Kakashi started to rise and greet him too, but Uchiha Yin stopped him.
"How is it going?" Uchiha Yin turned and sat right on the desk in front of Kakashi, as naturally as if he belonged there. His eyes wandered around the room, and he looked as though he did not care in the slightest.
Kakashi was nowhere near as relaxed. Still on high alert, he answered at once. "Everything's under control. Not many people came. Looks like Obito trusts Lord Orochimaru well enough!"
Uchiha Yin nodded and smiled. "I wouldn't say Obito trusts Orochimaru. This is probably a test."
As they spoke, the door opened again. Two people came in. Both men had expected someone from the intelligence division, but when they looked up, they saw Jiraiya and Hiruzen Sarutobi instead.
Uchiha Yin broke into a grin. "Third, you've been taking it easy for so long. What made you come out today? I thought you'd stay at home."
That was quite a jab. Though Uchiha Yin had been Hokage for a long time, he still held a grudge over the Third suddenly handing him the position.
Hiruzen Sarutobi heard the barb, of course, but pretended otherwise. "Even if I've stepped down as Hokage, I'm still a member of Konoha. At a time like this, it's only right that I come help!"
How sincere that was, only Hiruzen Sarutobi knew. Uchiha Yin gave him a look of open disdain.
"Your days have gotten too leisurely, and you wanted to come out and stretch your legs. You know it!" His motives exposed in an instant, Hiruzen Sarutobi showed no embarrassment. He only smiled and said nothing.
