Naruto: They Have Systems

They didn't have the same confidence in Uchiha Yin.

They knew him fairly well. They hadn't paid much attention to how he had "luckily" made it into the final four, but they were certain he was no match for Kushina Uzumaki.

Uchiha Yin had played his part to perfection. Every match had looked like a close struggle that he'd won by sheer "luck."

That was why he hadn't stood out in the earlier fights.

Even the opponents who had just fought him didn't think he could beat Kushina Uzumaki.

"How could Uchiha Yin lose? He's too strong! He's terrifying, like a monster!"

Only the brat who had called his older brother over to block Yin's path yesterday knew how strong he really was.

To that brat, his older brother was the strongest. If Uchiha Yin could beat him, then Yin had to be as powerful as a monster.

Hearing the kids chatter behind him, Uchiha Yin felt a headache coming on.

Still, he was puzzled. He hadn't done anything to upset Kushina, had he?

Don't tell me she got jealous because I was looking at Tsunade. Does she actually like me?

Uchiha Yin considered the possibility.

The more he thought about it, the more plausible it seemed.

He was sure Kushina had been reluctant when she first confessed to him. But after they went home from school yesterday, her attitude toward him had clearly changed.

Maybe Kushina sees me as more than a friend, but not quite a boyfriend.

For some reason, the thought gave Uchiha Yin a little thrill.

But Kushina's shout seemed to have drawn everyone's attention to the arena. That wasn't good.

Uchiha Yin could even feel Tsunade, Orochimaru, and Jiraiya watching him.

"Yin, don't hold back. I want a proper fight with you."

After they formed the Seal of Confrontation, Kushina Uzumaki spoke to Uchiha Yin with eager anticipation.

Then she pushed off hard with her right foot, using the ground's resistance to launch herself at him.

She clenched her right fist, drew her arm back, then drove it straight at Uchiha Yin.

The textbook movements flowed together smoothly. She was leagues beyond the brat from before.

Even Orochimaru, Jiraiya, and Tsunade looked impressed.

Kushina had been chosen as a future Jinchūriki, so naturally she drew plenty of attention. They had been watching her matches and had some idea of her strength.

But Jiraiya and Orochimaru had only begun paying attention to Uchiha Yin when Kushina told him not to hold back.

They weren't going to scrutinize every child. Only the few whose talent was obvious at a glance earned their close attention.

Now they were curious. Why was Kushina Uzumaki taking Uchiha Yin so seriously? And how would he handle her attack?

Watching Kushina charge at him with such force, Uchiha Yin could only look resigned.

All that effort he'd put into hiding his strength seemed pointless now. Everyone was watching him.
