At her age, Kushina probably had no idea how suggestive that sounded. She must have said it without thinking.
So why did he feel as if she had taken advantage of him?
I'm a man, damn it. How can I think like that? No. I need to be more assertive.
Fortunately, Kushina had changed the subject herself. He could let the whole thing go.
The thought had barely crossed his mind when Kushina suddenly wrapped her arms around Uchiha Yin again.
"Yin, I like you so much. So, so much. Will you let me be your girlfriend?"
Kushina trembled slightly. Her confession had come on impulse.
She knew Yin must have made things official with someone yesterday, but she didn't want to give up on him.
It had nothing to do with the system's mission. Kushina had truly fallen for Yin.
And she was terrified he would say no.
Yin could feel how much she meant it, and how her body trembled against his.
This was nothing like the first time Kushina had confessed to him.
Warmth spread through Yin's chest.
He put his arms around her too and gently stroked her back.
"Yeah. I'd like that," Yin said.
Kushina's eyes curved into crescents at his answer.
"It's a promise, then. I'm your girlfriend from now on. No matter what happens, no matter how wonderful another woman you meet, you can't abandon me."
"Yeah. As long as you stay with me, I'll stay with you." Yin recalled the words from his past life as he spoke.
"Then you can tell me about you and your older sister, right? I'm your girlfriend now. I don't want to be kept in the dark."
They held each other for a while longer before Kushina suddenly spoke again.
"Huh?" Yin stared at her, dumbfounded.
