Uchiha Yin woke the next morning looking thoroughly satisfied.
It had been a long time since he had eaten a breakfast made by Kushina. It tasted heavenly.
Not wanting to waste this rare chance, Kushina thought for a long time over breakfast before finally speaking, while Yin was still there.
"Yin, do you have anything else to do later?"
She asked cautiously, her eyes full of hope.
Yin couldn't bring himself to say no when he saw that look.
He smiled and nodded. "Why? Is there something you want to do?"
But once he nodded, Kushina looked as though she couldn't quite get the words out.
Yin found it a little funny. "Kushina, just tell me what it is. I'm not going to scold you!"
Kushina lowered her head. "Yin, could you go for a walk with me?"
Her voice grew softer with every word until it was barely louder than a mosquito's buzz.
Yin still heard her. His heart sank. He really hadn't spent enough time with them.
He nodded, his heart aching for her. "Of course. We'll go after breakfast."
Kushina lit up at his answer. She kept smiling even as she ate.
Yin watched her with a faint smile of his own.
After breakfast, the two of them went to Konoha's training ground, the Forest of Death.
The place was dangerous, but to people as skilled as Yin and Kushina, that danger was nothing worth mentioning.
They had both chosen it without needing to discuss it, simply because few people came there.
With Yin's status now, if they went somewhere crowded, Kushina would hardly have a chance to stay by his side the whole time.
