"I have always believed in fair trades."
"According to reports from my partner's subordinates, they have discovered that an external commerce officer on Tamas Industrial Star is a Sorceress."
Gu Yang was shocked. "A Sorceress!?"
"A follower of those damned Twins of Pleasure!?"
"Such an important position is held by a vile cultist!"
"Delusion, thank you for this crucial information!"
"Don't get worked up just yet," Ilis said.
Gu Yang paused and listened quietly.
"This Sorceress belongs to the Spiritual Cultivation Faction," Ilis said. "She is a sworn enemy of those blasphemous Desire Cultivation Faction Sorceresses."
Gu Yang blinked. "But they're all Sorceresses!"
"Don't they all worship the Twins of Pleasure?"
"If they follow the Twins of Pleasure, they're our enemies!"
Ilis was taken aback. "Is the Second Empire really so inflexible in how it operates?"
"The Spiritual Cultivation Faction's Sorceresses pose no threat to social stability."
"And their abilities counter those of the Desire Cultivation Faction."
"But they're still followers of the Twins of Pleasure," Gu Yang said dismissively.
"We have never bothered distinguishing between these Sorceresses. It's simply too inefficient."
"I understand what you mean, but that isn't how we do things in the Second Empire."
"Our enemy is the Twins of Pleasure."

Ilis sighed inwardly at that. These hidebound fools really don't care how many enemies they make!
