Kangaskhan nodded, still a little confused. Slaking's words seemed to make sense.
"Rong!"
[I'll give it a try!]
Without even consulting his Trainer, Lin Haochen, Kangaskhan fired Toxic at himself.
A dark green glow spread across Kangaskhan's body. He had been badly poisoned.
Lin Haochen stared in disbelief!
What's going on? My Kangaskhan poisoned himself?
Did he just attack himself?
I can't do this anymore. If this battle keeps going, I'm going to end up in a psychiatric ward.
What the hell is this? Is that even human?
"Kangaskhan, what are you doing? You used Toxic on yourself? Have you lost your mind?"
"Quick, use Rest to cure the poison!"
"Why are you just standing there? It's over!"
"What is going on? Why won't any of my Pokémon listen to me?"
Lin Haochen was in despair...
Being badly poisoned was different from ordinary poisoning.
An ordinary poisoned Pokémon lost a fixed amount of strength until it collapsed.
But being badly poisoned was brutal!
The amount of strength lost doubled with every turn!
In other words, surviving the ten minutes Slaking had demanded was impossible for Kangaskhan.
But Kangaskhan had let his masculine pride blind him... Fine, Slaking had fooled him.
Badly poisoned, Kangaskhan looked at Slaking and gritted his teeth. "Rong!"
[Time me!]
Slaking nodded calmly. "Wuh-hou!"
[Don't worry, brother!]
As a Trainer, Lin Haochen had never seen anything so bizarre.
The referee and the spectators were just as baffled.
What happened? Slaking stood there and made a few noises, and Kangaskhan used Toxic on himself?
Was Kangaskhan's Ability Synchronize?
Synchronize could pass a Pokémon's status condition to its opponent. It was a troublesome Ability, though not always useful.
But that clearly wasn't possible. Kangaskhan couldn't have Synchronize as his Ability.
That left only one answer!
The referee gave
