The clouds that had begun to gather scattered at his gesture. In an instant, the mild weather gave way to blazing sunshine!
The harsh sunlight beat down on Gyarados, making him so uncomfortable he wanted to sleep.
"Damn it! Gyarados, use Hydro Pump, then Thunder!"
With Rain Dance thwarted, Shui Qingqing immediately changed tactics. She would gamble on a surprise Electric-type attack.
Her Gyarados's Lightning Rod Ability was her greatest trump card!
And his ability to use Electric-type moves freely was a talent of his own.
But... Charizard had a talent of his own, too.
Bolstered by the Fire Dragon God Bloodline, he had mastered the Water Absorb Ability through relentless training.
Now Gyarados fired Hydro Pump, ready to follow it with Thunder.
Charizard stood still and took the Hydro Pump head-on!
Then, to the astonishment of Gyarados and Shui Qingqing, he used Protect to block Thunder!
"Draco Meteor!"
Xu Mu finally shouted at just the right moment, making his presence known.
Charizard had already launched the attack!
Meteor-like blasts rained down from the sky, engulfing Gyarados!
