He had tricked Mewtwo into putting on the armor, then planned to brainwash him bit by bit.

Unfortunately for Giovanni, Pokémon with powerful psychic abilities were naturally sharp-minded.

Mewtwo might have been innocent, but he wasn't stupid. He had always kept his guard up around Giovanni.

Only today, once he was sure he was Giovanni's strongest asset and that no person or Pokémon in Team Rocket could defeat him, had he finally let his guard down and prepared to defect!

But... what the hell was this?!

Mewtwo stared speechlessly at Xu Mu and Eternatus as another Fell Stinger from Eternatus drove him back.

He stood there, dejected, with a sudden urge to cry.

This wasn't fair. It absolutely wasn't fair.

No, this wasn't how the script was supposed to go!

Wasn't I supposed to be the strongest Pokémon?

Wasn't I supposed to be invincible from birth?
