Cynthia said in surprise:
"Xu Mu, how did you know?"
Xu Mu gave her a helpless look.
"How did I know?"
"Can you even eat anyone else's cooking anymore, besides mine?"
With that, Xu Mu turned and headed for the kitchen.
Jessie watched them, bitterness welling up inside her.
We're all human. Why is my life so different?
She was almost in tears. Those two were being downright cruel.
They were flaunting their love right in front of her, forcing her to watch, and she couldn't even leave.
Cynthia saw Jessie sitting alone on the sofa and went over to her.
"Jessie, where would you like to go to school?"
Jessie's mind started racing.
Right. Going to school is already a done deal. Barring a surprise, I'm definitely going.
The question is where.
Seeing Jessie deep in thought, Cynthia smiled.
"Jessie, you could go to school near us, or you could go to the Western Continent and take classes with Misty. Why don't you stay with us? Then I could cook for you every day."
Jessie jolted and shouted at once:
"I'm going to the Western Continent! I want to take classes with Misty!"
Xu Mu happened to hear her as he came out of the kitchen.
He was baffled. Everything had been fine a moment ago. Why were they shouting now?
He quickened his pace, walked over to them, and asked:
"What's going on with you two?"
Cynthia answered him:
"I asked Jessie where she wanted to go to school, and she got so excited about going to the Western Continent to see Misty!"
"They really are close!"
Xu Mu glanced at Jessie in confusion.
Then it clicked.
Jessie didn't want to go to the Western Continent because she was close to Misty. She couldn't take Cynthia's disastrous cooking
