It was as though Solgaleo knew exactly what Ho-Oh was thinking.
Beside Ho-Oh, Solgaleo said with a smile:
"So this is the freedom you longed for!"
"I hope you make some good memories here."
And so, their group of Pokémon gradually grew.
Once enough Pokémon had joined them, there was no longer room for everyone in that place.
Solgaleo turned to the others and said:
"Let's find somewhere else!"
"This place can't hold us all anymore!"
Since Solgaleo had brought so many Pokémon together,
the others treated Solgaleo as their leader.
All except one: Necrozma.
It wasn't that Necrozma looked down on Solgaleo.
Rather, Necrozma and Solgaleo had the ability to fuse.
But when they fused, Necrozma controlled the resulting body.
Necrozma didn't think of it that way, though.
To Necrozma, Solgaleo was a partner at most,
nowhere near a leader.
As for Necrozma,
Necrozma had an interesting story too.
While Solgaleo was searching for other Pokémon,
Necrozma had encountered Solgaleo
and struck up a conversation.
Seeing what Solgaleo was doing,
Necrozma asked in puzzlement:
"You're a Legendary Pokémon too!"
"Why are you so set on finding freedom?"
Solgaleo replied:
"Freedom
"might not seem that important,
"but it matters to me!
"For one simple reason!
"It lets me live the life I want!"
Necrozma looked even more puzzled.
"Why?"
"What kind of life do you want?"
The question struck right at the heart of it.
Solgaleo answered proudly:
"The life I want is one of freedom!"
Necrozma could only look on helplessly.
But Necrozma needed three other Pokémon to achieve all three of Necrozma's forms.
So Necrozma went along with Solgaleo
and followed Solgaleo to where the Pokémon had gathered.
"Let's find a world of our own!"
"Then we can live there from now on!"
