The flower shop owner stepped out of his store.
He pulled out his phone.
And began making calls.
The interesting part was this:
Everyone he called worked at a flower shop in Magic City.
The owner said into the phone:
"Come over, quick!"
"We've got a big customer here!"
"I promise you'll be glad you came!"
Xu Mu could only look on helplessly as he listened.
He had thought he only needed to tell the owner what he wanted.
Then the owner could bring it all out for him.
But apparently not!
The owner needed to call in help.
He had no idea what Xu Mu was thinking.
If he had known,
he might have jumped straight out of his skin!
He wouldn't have cared who Xu Mu was.
He would have shouted at him:
"Every rose in the city!"
"How did you expect me to handle that on my own?"
Still unaware of Xu Mu's thoughts,
the owner kept contacting every flower shop owner he knew.
After a while,
he walked back into the shop.
"Chief!" he said to Xu Mu.
"I've called everyone over!"
"Just tell us what you need when they arrive!"
Xu Mu nodded.
Then he asked,
"How much longer?"
The owner slowly raised his head.
His eyes shone with admiration.
He hurried to answer Xu Mu.
"Any moment now!"
"Any moment!"
At last,
after Xu Mu had waited more than half an hour,
the other flower shop owners began filing through the door.
It wasn't that they had dragged their feet.
After all, getting around this city—
especially a place as big as Magic City—
took time.
The owners who came in caught sight of Xu Mu.
