Invisible Thing (1/2)

Even so, Xu Feng had forced his way out from one side of the Earth God Shrine and returned from the other under his own power.

After he returned,

he said nothing. He simply sat down against a wall.

His Three Souls and Seven Spirits remained firmly bound within his body. Not one had escaped.

He just had a bit of a fever!

That was all.

But soon after Xu Feng returned, his temperature began to drop. By the time Master noticed something was wrong and hurried over, his disciple's face was flushed bright red. One touch told him Xu Feng was burning up. This was bad!

Yet Xu Feng was already starting to recover.

Away from the snake carcass, his condition began to improve.

But Master didn't know that.

Seeing his disciple like this, he immediately understood.

"He's been struck by baleful energy!"

He snatched up his wine flask, took a mouthful, and sprayed it straight into Xu Feng's face!

"Boy, wake up!" he shouted.

"Boy, wake up!"

At the same time, he seized his disciple's right hand and pulled his middle finger straight. If Xu Feng still didn't wake, he would find a clean needle and thread and prick the finger.

Fortunately, Xu Feng was spared that pain.

He had already been on the verge of waking.

The spray and the shout jolted him.

Xu Feng snapped awake!

But waking from his feverish delirium left him dazed. The hazy things he had seen still lingered in his mind.

Hearing the commotion, Doctor Qi came over. "What happened?"

Xu Feng wiped his face. Master's mouthful of wine had startled him into a sweat that beaded thickly across his back.

And with that sweat, he felt his fever break!

He felt much better too.

He was just thirsty.

"Master, do
