Nagato Appears

Not long after, Pain returned, anger simmering beneath his expression. He seemed to have been played for a fool: the one who had left was only a Shadow Clone, and the real Shisui Uchiha had apparently come back.

"Deidara, have you been waiting here for me?" Pain looked at him, puzzled that he would bother to wait.

"Sure have, leader!" Deidara said with a grin.

Pain wasted no time. He headed toward the Chakra signature he had sensed with the Rain Tiger at Will Technique, following it to Shisui.

"Art is an Explosion!"

"Detonate!"

Deva Path Pain was blown away. Dust covered his body, and though he was not seriously injured, this was an unmistakable challenge to a god.

"Rebellion! Every last one of you has turned against me!"

"You know what happens when you defy a god, don't you?"

Deva Path Pain burned with rage.

"Shinra Tensei!"

He no longer cared what happened to Amegakure. A powerful repulsive force hurled Deidara away, driving his body into a steel pipe.

Still unsatisfied, the Asura Path charged forward to seize Deidara and vent his fury.

Several worms emerged from underground without warning and coiled around each of them.

A massive explosion erupted. None of the Pains escaped it, and even the Preta Path could not absorb the force of the blast.

"Nagato, what's wrong?"
