"We have to find a way out." Her voice was low, but the resolve in it was unmistakable.

Suddenly, the light before them rippled, as if an invisible wind had swept past their faces. Yan Zhi instinctively stepped back, stumbled, and nearly lost her footing. Her heart raced faster. The world before her blurred further, as though she were caught in an endless tumble.

"Yan Zhi." Jiu Jia Yi gripped her shoulders, his voice clear and firm. "Stay calm."

She took a deep breath, slowly forcing down the heavy anxiety in her chest. She tried to clear her mind and looked around for anything that might serve as a clue.

The scene before her began to take shape. That radiance was no ordinary light. It seemed to be made of countless fine streams of energy, shifting and flowing before her eyes in patterns she could barely comprehend. Something strange hung in the air, filling her with a fear unlike any she had known.

"What is this place?" Yan Zhi whispered. The question pressed harder on her mind.

"I don't know." Jiu Jia Yi's gaze darkened. "But it must have something to do with a power we've never encountered."

There was thoughtfulness in his words, but an undercurrent of unease as well. Their eyes met in that strange, distorted space, and under the sway of some unseen force, the bond between them seemed to tighten.

A low echo sounded through the air, like a call from somewhere deep below, or a whisper rising from an ancient abyss. Yan Zhi flinched. The sound had stirred the fear buried deepest within her.

"Did you hear that?" she asked quietly, her voice trembling.

Jiu Jia Yi did not answer. He only nodded, a flicker of wariness in his eyes. The sound seemed to beckon them toward an unknown abyss. Every step forward would draw them deeper in.

Yan Zhi's heart pounded harder. The feeling of being watched washed over her again. She suddenly realized that she and Jiu Jia Yi were not alone in this place. She dared not turn around, afraid the unseen threat was lurking behind her.

"We have to get out of here," Yan Zhi said through clenched teeth, keeping her voice low.

Jiu Jia Yi did not argue. His gaze remained fixed ahead, as though he were working something out. The strangeness in the air grew more pronounced. The boundaries of the space seemed to blur, and the light that had appeared impossible to pass through softened slightly.

"Keep going," he said suddenly, his tone leaving no room for argument.

Yan Zhi froze for an instant, then followed him without hesitation. She knew that in a place like this, only instinct and the understanding between them might lead them to a way out of the unknown haze.

Their steps quickened. The ground beneath their feet seemed to shift subtly with each stride. The light grew brighter and brighter, until it formed a massive rift ahead of them. Dazzling radiance poured from it, drawing them toward the unknown with an almost irresistible pull.

Yan Zhi barely hesitated. She tightened her grip on Jiu Jia Yi's hand and walked toward the rift. Anxiety and tension filled her, but an indescribable force urged her onward. She knew this was their only chance.
