This time, Psykos was the one who came over to say hello.
"What a coincidence," the blonde beauty said, waving to the group. "My seat happens to be nearby again. And I checked the match schedule—my opponent this round is actually this young man."
She smiled at Young Man Crash Boy, whose skin had also been painted a wheat-brown shade.
Psykos had an effortless allure. From impressionable boys to men in their nineties, few could have resisted a beauty like her.
But Crash Boy remained perfectly calm under her smiling gaze and gave no response.
Tatsumaki, on the other hand, frowned.
Why did this woman feel like a burr that kept sticking to them?
Their encounters might have looked like coincidences, but Psykos had initiated every one of them.
She seemed a little too eager.
And whenever the woman approached Tatsumaki, she stirred up strange feelings in her. Something about Psykos felt both familiar and foreign, but it was nothing like affection. Tatsumaki felt an instinctive revulsion toward her.
Psykos did not seem to mind Crash Boy's indifference. She waved at him. "Go easy on me during the match, young man. Don't make my loss too embarrassing."
"Master said a match is a match," Crash Boy replied solemnly. "I have to give it everything I've got."
"Who's your Master?" Psykos asked curiously.
Crash Boy pointed to Luke beside him.
Psykos was stunned. She had thought this unremarkable young man was the most ordinary person in the group. She had never expected him to be the boy's master.
She could tell there was something extraordinary about Young Man Crash Boy. Surely his Master had to be even more so.
Yet even with her keen intuition, she
