While Master Gu Pu pursued Greedy Wolf, the next round of the Call-Out Challenge was about to begin.
Six contestants had yet to compete, so the draw held one red card and five black cards.
Each contestant drew a card. Sonic got the red one, which gave him the right to call out an opponent.
Sonic could barely contain his excitement. The showdown he had awaited for so long was finally at hand.
He would kill that man with his own hands. Only then could he put an end to the hatred he had carried for years.
But before he killed him, Sonic wanted to know why he had betrayed him back then.
"What are you waiting for?" Sonic asked with a cold smile.
The contestants were waiting for him to choose an opponent. His sudden question left them baffled.
Who was he talking to?
Only the Golden Flash, whose expression had remained calm throughout, rose from the contestants' line and stepped forward.
"Sonic, you shouldn't have come looking for revenge," the Golden Flash said, without a trace of emotion.
The audience had long since noticed that the Golden Flash rarely showed joy, anger, or sorrow in a match. Like an unfeeling killing machine, he crushed every opponent with overwhelming strength.
"Oh?" Sonic's expression turned contemptuous.
"You were lucky to survive last time. You should have valued your life more," the Golden Flash said. "But since you've come to me yourself, I don't mind killing you again."
The Golden Flash's words struck a nerve.
Anger flashed across Sonic's face. "If you're so sure you can kill me, why didn't you do it openly during the graduation test?"
"Why resort to something as despicable as poison?!"
Sonic's heart pounded as he asked.
He had waited seven whole years for the answer.
