Background / History

Greedy Wolf studied under Master Gu as a personal disciple. Gu valued both his unusual talent and his diligence, and sent him to help senior disciple Clint run the Eastern Martial Arts Hall in San Andreas after two years of training. An argument over justice ended with Greedy Wolf attacking everyone at the hall, nearly killing Clint, and leaving the school 150 151.

He entered Vought International’s tournament and earned a Texas place in the finals through a series of difficult victories 130 131. The competition gave him opportunities to test techniques developed outside his master’s school and, eventually, to face Master Gu himself 154 217.

Appearance

Greedy Wolf is a strongly built young man with a sleek, muscular physique rather than excessive bulk 151 184.

  • Rugged features, sharp brows, and bright eyes 151.
  • Striking silver-white hair that begins turning orange-red during his fight with Superalloy Darkshine 209.
  • Hair that rises into hornlike points as his transformation advances 219 253.
  • During Monsterization, darker skin and a hardened outer layer; a later layer beneath it has a purplish-red, metallic appearance 253 254.
  • After gaining God’s Power, returns to normal size but appears to contain an endless starry sky 255.

Personality

Greedy Wolf is proud, stubborn, and exceptionally driven. He stays composed enough to study opponents during a fight, yet grows more eager when they prove stronger or when he is injured 130 151 153 207. He wants his strength to come from effort and resents what he sees as moral posturing used to dismiss that effort 150 151.

His ambition is also ideological: he wants to expose hypocrisy and overturn a world in which powerful wrongdoers escape consequences. He comes to believe overwhelming power can define good and evil, even when pursuing that belief endangers others 217 256 257. Despite their opposition, he retains affection and respect for Master Gu 217 220.

Abilities & Skills

My Style

A personal martial-arts system assembled from moves Greedy Wolf discovered in battle and techniques he copied and adapted from other fighters 154 218.

  • Shifts between forceful and soft movements, varied speeds, and offense and defense 154 218.
  • Overwhelms his Tiger-Crane opponent, but is outclassed by Master Gu’s Water Stream Rock Smashing Fist 155 218.

Water Stream Rock Smashing Fist

Master Gu’s art of redirection, defense, and counterattack. Greedy Wolf knows it deeply but does not match its creator’s mastery 187 188 218.

  • Deflects the Blond Man’s piercing punches rather than taking them on his guard, enabling precise counterstrikes 188 189.
  • Cannot fully neutralize Superalloy Darkshine’s strongest blow across their power gap 209.
  • Its flowing principles later help him channel God’s Power instead of resisting it 255.

Exploding Heart Release Fist

A relentlessly offensive art from Master Gu’s youth. Greedy Wolf secretly learned it from a sealed manual and first turns to it publicly against Superalloy Darkshine 210.

  • Uses it to challenge Master Gu’s defensive style; Gu’s knowledge of both arts remains an advantage 218.

Combat Adaptation and Resilience

Greedy Wolf reads unfamiliar moves, develops counters during fights, and repeatedly continues through severe injuries 153 207 210.

  • Learns and adapts a punch after seeing it used in an earlier match 154.
  • Survives a blow that shatters every bone in his body and rises to continue fighting 209 210.
  • His persistence helps defeat Darkshine after Darkshine loses the will to fight 212.

Later Transformations and Techniques

  • Monsterization — Grants a hardened, armor-like body and regeneration; he replaces an arm shattered by the recoil of his own strike 254.
  • Exploding Force — Sends force past an opponent’s exterior defenses toward vulnerable areas inside. Neither it nor his upgraded Extreme Exploding Force defeats Luke 254.
  • All-Life Extinction Fist — Gained after he channels God’s Power and grasps principles drawn from its cosmic source 255.
  • Nuclear Fission Fist and gamma-ray burst — Attacks on a scale that threatens the planet and those living on it 255 256.
  • Technique copying — Reproduces Luke’s appearance and attacks, but can copy only Luke’s present strength; Luke continues growing faster 256.

Relationships

  • Master Gu — Former teacher and most valued mentor. Their opposing beliefs lead to a tournament duel that Greedy Wolf wins, though he continues to respect Gu 150 217 220.
  • Clint — Senior fellow disciple whom Greedy Wolf nearly kills during his attack on the San Andreas hall 150 151.
  • Gu Pu — Master Gu’s elder brother. He tries to stop Greedy Wolf after the duel with Gu; Greedy Wolf later defeats him 221 249.
  • Superalloy Darkshine — Tournament opponent defeated by Greedy Wolf. Darkshine comes to admire his willpower and later saves him from Gu Pu 212 222.
  • Psykos — Studies his near-death growth and hopes to use him to create a perfect life-form; his self-directed transformation unsettles that plan 131 209 210.
  • Luke — Defeats Greedy Wolf in the finals and again after Greedy Wolf seeks a rematch. Luke spares him when God’s Power and Monsterization are gone 249 253 257.

Story Role / Major Arcs

  • Tournament rise — Advances from an overlooked Texas contestant to a championship contender through difficult fights, including victories over the Blond Man and Superalloy Darkshine 130 189 212.
  • Master–disciple showdown — Chooses Master Gu for a Call-Out Challenge, reaches Ascending Summit Intent, and advances to the final five when Gu leaves the arena 217 219 220.
  • Pursuit of ultimate strength — Defeats Gu Pu, loses to Luke in the finals, and later challenges Luke again as his Monsterization deepens 249 253 254.
  • God’s Power and aftermath — Uses an unwanted transfer of God’s Power to fight Luke at a planet-threatening scale. After losing that power, he is spared and later helps eliminate remaining criminal forces 255 256 257.
