Chris was stunned. Queen Maeve was a woman, yet she possessed such terrifying strength. In a single exchange, she had taken down two Villainous League officers.
As the Villainous League's second-in-command, Chris had exceptional nerve and could keep his head in a crisis. He swallowed his shock in an instant, his hands never slowing as he launched a flurry of attacks at Queen Maeve.
His bladed hands clashed fiercely with the crimson metal bracers on Queen Maeve's forearms, sending out bursts of metallic clangs.
Queen Maeve gradually realized that the blades Chris had turned his arms into had distinctly metallic properties. They were even harder than steel. But her bracers were no ordinary material either; his slashes could barely leave a scratch on them.
Queen Maeve could easily handle Chris alone, but he was not her only enemy. In the distance, Black Noir was clearly tied up, while A-Train had temporarily lost his ability to fight.
Queen Maeve saw two or three figures rush at her from different directions. She was about to be surrounded by several officer-level Espers.
Even so, not a trace of panic showed in Queen Maeve's eyes.

The huge, pale fat man who had sprayed squid ink into A-Train's eyes reached Queen Maeve first. His cheeks bulged, and he spat a glob of black liquid at her.
Queen Maeve had seen A-Train get caught by that trick. She was not about to fall for it too.
She reacted with astonishing speed, dodging the foul-smelling liquid and driving a punch straight into the man's bulging belly!
The force of that punch was enough to kill a Villainous League officer on the spot.
Queen Maeve expected the fat man to end up like the two already
