Michael the mage pressed impatiently, while Copperbeard, the actual warrior, waited with patience.
"Almost ready."
Annan glanced at the sunlit lawn outside the window and opened the door.
Abby came running down the corridor, her clothes disheveled and her cheeks flushed, carrying a Recording Magic Stone. Annan took it from her and returned to the Study.
Michael stopped Annan as he was about to activate the Recording Magic Stone.
"You really want to show..." Michael glanced around at the others in the Study, his expression strange. "That sort of thing to all of us?"
"What?" Annan asked.
His reaction left Michael stunned. "What?"
Annan looked down at the Recording Magic Stone beneath Michael's hand. Understanding dawned, and his eyes narrowed. "What do you mages use Recording Magic Stones for...?"
"That has nothing to do with mages!" Michael protested, raising his voice. "It's those nobles who like recording that sort of thing!"
"Do you have any recordings like that?"
"Yes."
Lady Fine Wine, the female Dwarf, and Annan looked at him with disdain.
Annan pushed Michael's hand aside and set the Recording Magic Stone on the desk. "This is the medium that will carry the story. I call it..."
Annan had wanted to call it a movie, but the magic stone had nothing to do with electricity. Magic Shadow? That sounded like something from the Evil Faction...

With that, Annan activated the Recording Magic Stone.
A shaky image appeared above the stone. The distant fence and street beyond it told them they were looking at the lawn outside.

Annan drew the curtains. As the Study darkened, the image grew clearer and more vivid. He watched Della, Michael, and the others, some standing and some sitting, stare at
