Griffin offered no excuses or resistance. He admitted what he had done.
Disgust and disappointment showed plainly in Annan's eyes. "Luoxi, arrest him and take him to the Free City Prison."
Luoxi walked over, tense, and fitted Griffin with an Anti-Magic Ring. Griffin did not resist.

Luoxi escorted Griffin out of the Potion Workshop, with Annan following behind. Just as they reached the exit, the door to the Alchemy Room opened.
Tyr had seen what happened. Summoning his courage, he asked, "Lord Annan, could there be some misunderstanding? Professor Griffin has always taught us so carefully, and..."

Tyr swayed as if his strength had left him. Annan shook his head and walked out.
His thoughts in chaos, Tyr gave his head a hard shake. After a few deep breaths, he returned to the Alchemy Room.
"What happened?" a classmate asked. "Was that Lord Annan?"
Tyr forced a smile. "Lord Annan has an assignment for the professor. We'll be conducting experiments on our own for the next few days. Let's do our best and get the energy potion into mass production before the professor returns. We'll surprise them both..."

The Jailer shut the cell door, checked that it was locked, then walked away.
Griffin was alone in the cell. Given his status and how dangerous he was, he qualified for a cell of his own.
In an interrogation room at the prison, Shadow Song listed Griffin's crimes. "At least a hundred disappearances are linked to him..."
