Annan didn't need to teach Olmedo how to "use" Lilith. She immediately thought of having Lilith take over the various departments.
Lilith's "participation in government" would benefit everyone.
For Free City, a Tower Spirit was better suited to handling administrative affairs.
For the officials, it meant relief from tedious, complicated work. They would no longer have to search through mountains of intelligence and records for a needle in a haystack.
For the citizens, Lilith's involvement would make oversight and resource allocation fairer.
For Annan, it meant he could slack off without guilt. He would no longer have to watch everyone else work while he did nothing.
Even Lilith would benefit. Being needed by more people would help her maintain her emotions.
And Olmedo might finally be able to take a short break.
With his mind at ease, Annan left the City Lord's Mansion, found the Skeleton King, and told him the evil potion had worked.
"Soul-Enhancing Potion."
"Oh, could you make a few more bottles of that Soul-Enhancing Potion?" Annan looked at the Skeleton King hopefully.
He had already sent people to Silver City, but there was still a small chance they would fail. Perhaps this Silver City wasn't the Platinum City he sought. Perhaps the Believer wasn't even human.
Rather than wait around, he would be better off getting a few more bottles of Soul-Enhancing Potion and finding more Believers to pinpoint the location.
"I'm afraid not."
The Skeleton King rubbed the bones of his fingers against his jaw, as if pondering the question. "The evil potion requires one hundred pure, flawless Virgin Hearts, fifty ounces of juvenile Unicorn blood, the souls of ten Holy Knights, three heart scales from a Silver Dragon, and finally, one Tear of Unrequited Love."
Annan could only laugh awkwardly at the Skeleton King's
