"What have our Dark Elf guests been doing these past two days?" Annan asked his advisor, Peterson.
"Miss Ellia hasn't gone anywhere. Miss Moxi has taken quite an interest in the city. She even visited the Pantheon."
That suited them both. Ai only followed orders; if no one told her to do something, she never would. Moxi, meanwhile, made sure everything around her remained under control.
Annan nodded and told Peterson to bring Moxi and Ellia over.
Peterson glanced at the only book on the otherwise clear desk, then hurriedly looked straight ahead, acknowledged the order, and left.
Annan pulled open a drawer and tossed the book inside.
Ten minutes later, the two Dark Elves pushed open the door and entered.
Annan sat behind his desk with the Calico Cat sprawled across his lap, just as he had been that day.
"Holy Son, did you call for us?"
Annan picked up the letter he had brought back and flicked it coldly toward them. "Take a look at this."

The letter should have shot straight at Moxi's cheek like an arrow. Instead, it unfolded in midair, caught on the air, and fluttered down onto the edge of the desk.
Annan stared at the letter. The two Dark Elves stared at it too. For a moment, the scene was awkward.
"I'll get it, meow~"
Lily leaped up, picked up the letter in her mouth, and carried it to Moxi, helping Annan keep up the act.
Moxi crouched to take the letter. After scanning it, she handed it to Ellia.
Her face showed no expression, but the brief contraction of her pupils revealed that she was far from calm.
"Weren't you curious what Free City has been doing these past few days?"
"I wasn't that cur—"
