As the Lute-Bearing Bard spoke softly, a faint killing intent rose around him.

He had tasked Annan with approaching the Succubus Queen, but Annan had not done it.

Annan did not reply. He silently felt the barren ground beneath his feet. He was still inside the Anti-Magic Field, while dozens of meters away, where the Bard stood, abundant magical energy surged. The Bard had probably known that and deliberately blocked his path here.

But that was all. The Summoning Crystal was unaffected by Magic Suppression, and with Biross and the others on hand, Annan could easily hold out until he crossed the boundary of the Anti-Magic Field.

So Annan paid no mind to the Bard's attitude. He even criticized him: "That's Order thinking. Those of us in the Chaos Alignment do whatever we want."

"You're teaching me what Chaos is?" the Bard asked. His killing intent grew stronger, drawing Rus back.

"The fact that you think that way proves you don't understand Chaos at all." Annan shook his head. "You still think, 'I'm stronger than you, so who are you to tell me what to do?' That urge to rank everything from high to low is classic Order thinking!"

"False Chaos says: I have more experience, so you must listen to me; I'm stronger, so you must listen to me; I know more, so you must listen to me; my status is higher, so you must listen to me."

"True Chaos says: man or woman, young or old, strong or weak, no race or person ranks above another. If what you say makes sense, it's the truth. If it doesn't, it's bullshit!"
