Annan returned to the Lounge. Eldest Sister sat in her Wheelchair and asked him, "What happened?"
“Some Night Hawk from the Empire came to confirm the Subspace Passage with me.”
Annan had just returned from shopping with Eldest Sister when someone from the Empire summoned him, interrupting her change of clothes.
Then Annan noticed that Eldest Sister had already put on the sunflower pleated skirt he had picked out himself.
A ring of openwork embroidery trimmed the edge of the billowing Petticoat. Her pale calves showed beneath the hem, clad in white lace socks. Her Black Hair had a slight natural curl and fell in waves around her shoulders. She looked like an exquisite doll.
"But something's missing."
Annan rested his chin on his hand. An idea struck him.
He called over Silly Cat, who was warm all over from napping in the sun outside.
"Eldest Sister and I spent all morning picking out clothes. We chose the one with the most comfortable fabric for you to climb on. Come try it."
After coaxing Silly Cat onto Eldest Sister's lap, Annan stepped back to look. The holy cat lay on the lap of a gentle, beautiful girl. The sight was too lovely for the Mortal World, like a masterful work of art.
Annan summoned Painting Person and asked it to paint the scene.
Swish, swish—
Two seconds later, a lifelike portrait emerged, almost indistinguishable from what he saw with his own eyes.
"Too fast. Paint more slowly."
"Huh? Boss, I can paint it as soon as I see it. There's no need to go slowly..."
"I don't care."
Finishing it in a few swishes takes all the ceremony out of it.
