Annan lay on the Blue Dragon's back, looking down at the snow-covered land. The cold wind swept through his Black Hair, but it did nothing to dampen his excitement.
Breeze City gradually came into view. The Mage Tower's Tower Spirit locked onto them, then stood down when it recognized Annan on the dragon's back.
Annan waved toward the Mage Tower. The Blue Dragon played along, diving toward Breeze City, passing the tower and sweeping over the City Lord's Mansion. The two Wyverns kept by the Mage Tower crouched on the ground beneath the Blue Dragon's Dragon Might.
Was Olmedo watching from a window?
After circling Breeze City a few times, the Blue Dragon flew west under countless watchful eyes.
Annan's mount was a Destrier with Griffin blood, a gift from Olmedo. It could cover hundreds of miles a day even on dirt roads, making the trip from Star-Moon Bay to Breeze City in just two days.
The Blue Dragon took only two hours.
The Dragon's arrival drew cries of astonishment from the Townspeople. Lying on its back, Annan introduced Star-Moon Bay to the Blue Dragon. "Remember those plump cod? We caught them out there in the sea. Once spring comes, we can build a port and bring in more fish. The cleared land on both sides of the road we took will become wheat fields. And the Town will eventually stretch around the entire Bay."
"That Low Hill is where the lord's residence will stand. The hill behind it is your Dragon's Lair!"
The Blue Dragon landed before its lair, folded its wings, and walked through a tunnel whose ceiling even a jumping Ogre could not reach, into the light-filled cavern beyond.
