The Rat Nest raid took one hour and fourteen minutes. They killed 514 Ratfolk without a single injury, and had deliberately let the Ratfolk Priest and a few Elite Ratfolk escape.
The Musketeers' faces were black with Gunpowder soot, but their white-toothed smiles shone as they excitedly told their comrades how many Ratfolk they had killed. Annan let them have their fun. As the Musketeers' leader, he figured their kills ought to count toward his tally too—
"I'll leave the contamination to you," Annan told Olmedo.
Olmedo told the Street Sweeper squad that had come with her, "I'll leave the contamination to you."
"Quiet!"
Luoxi looked fondly at the young men who made him so proud, though he had no children and was about their age himself. Annan opened a Portal to send the Musketeers back to Star-Moon Bay, then followed Olmedo back to Breeze City, asking her to take him past the park.
"I need to see the Centurion."
Olmedo thought he meant to demand an explanation. The Ratfolk had made it back to Breeze City and nearly extended Annan's "banquet curse," while the Street Sweepers had noticed nothing. But Annan had already realized they were useless. Two Holy Grail Knights had died, and the Street Sweepers in the Royal Capital were still wandering the Street.
Annan visited the Centurion and asked her, "When are you going to repay the 100 Gold Coins you borrowed from me in the Royal Capital?"
"When did I borrow anything?"
"So it really was you... How did you do it?" Annan wondered whether Betar City and Bountiful City had Street Sweepers too. Did each of those cities have two Centurions as well?
"Secret."
"So you know what's happening in the Royal Capital as it happens?"
"More or less." The Centurion walked around Annan
