After Annan brought the news to Mr. Victor at the Library, Elder, the young Dragon-Taming Boy, burst out indignantly.

Before Annan could say anything, Mr. Victor pointed at the wall. "See that wall?"

"I see it, teacher."

"Run into it."

"I—I'm not stupid..."

"Brave Elder doesn't even have the courage to try?" Mr. Victor's temper hadn't changed a bit.

Annan thought his question ought to be safe. "Mr. Victor, should we leave?"

"See that wall?"

"That analogy doesn't work," Annan replied at once.

Victor tossed Annan a Purse and pointed at the wall again. "Take the Purse and run into it."

"I understand..."

Mr. Victor had put it harshly, but he had tipped Annan a little further toward Migration.

"I'll find a way!"

With that, Annan ran out. Mr. Victor snorted, then suddenly felt as though he'd forgotten something.

Outside the Library, Annan quickly opened the Purse. A few Gold Coins and a few dozen Silver Coins... It seemed Mr. Victor wasn't all that rich either.

With that thought, Annan pocketed the money and hung the Purse on the door handle.

The people of Star-Moon Bay still thought the Snow Mountains were merely a strange phenomenon. Feeling little urgency, they greeted Annan as he passed.

After gulping down a Magic Potion, Annan barely had enough Magic Power to cast the Lesser Summoning Spell.

Given the choice between contacting the Snow Mountains and notifying Olmedo, Annan chose the former. Whether Snow Mountain Fortress could hold would determine whether he needed to Migration.

A Teleportation Portal opened, revealing a dim, bare cell. Firelight flickered across the damp wall beyond its iron bars.

The Warden, who had been watching the Cell, stood up and asked with hostility, "Are you Annan Reeves?"
